How two equal spheres can occupy space is an interesting point. We can study the relationship between equal spheres that touch each other and form piles; one sphere can touch up to 12 equal spheres! Spheres that are distributed in space in the interior of polyhedra that are tiles can also be studied (the cube, the rhombo-dodecahedron, etc.)

In a distribution of equal cubes that fill space, if each cube contains an inscribed sphere, what percentage of space is occupied by the spheres?
