The EESD-Observatory is an initiative organized by three of the leading EESD research universities in Europe and in association with the AGS (Alliance for Global Sustainability)
These three universities (Technical University of Catalonia, Delft University of Technology and Chalmers University of Technology) are deeply committed to Education in Sustainable Development (ESD).

UPC Barcelona, Spain
TU Delft, The Netherlands
TU Chalmers, Sweden

The Observatory monitors the advances of the Barcelona Declaration worldwide and communicates the advances biannually in a Report that is presented at the EESD International Conferences and distributed digitally to interested partisans institutions and others.

To gather the updates on ESD activities, a survey is carried out every two years, reaching over 1000 technical universities along Europe. If you wish to be contacted on our next survey, please fill in this form.

The EESD-Observatory provides an international strategic information tracking and sharing service on EESD based in experiences and evidences of what works.

The observatory is founded on the presumption that there is considerable work to be done to enable engineering education institutions to benefit fully from emerging research and learning about how best to integrate ESD.
