Declaration of the UPC against the unjustified and unjustifiable violence
In response to the episodes of unjustified and unjustifiable violence in Catalonia in the last few hours.

We express our rejection, indignation and strongest condemnation of the unjustified and unjustifiable episodes of violence by the Civil Guard and the National Police in Catalonia in the last few hours.
At the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) we believe that the use of force against citizens is unacceptable in democracy and that violence, by definition, is always disproportionate.
Regardless of the various political opinions held by the members of the UPC community, we wish to reiterate that dialogue is the only possible solution to any conflict, and we will not cease to insist that it is the only legitimate weapon in democracy
