Awards

• Abertis Award for Research in Transport Infrastructure Management

  The award is presented each year by the Abertis Chair in Transport Infrastructure Management to university students who have produced outstanding research in transport infrastructure and service management.

• Davyd Luque ICT Innovation Award

  This award aims to encourage members of the UPC community to devise innovative projects and develop original ideas in the field of information and communication technologies.

• Duran Farell Technological Research Award

  This award is presented to the author of the most outstanding research project in a technological discipline over a three-year period.

• Manuel de Solà-Morales European Prize

  This biennial prize is awarded for outstanding doctoral research in the field of urban design.

• International Award for the Best Doctoral Thesis in Automotive Engineering

  This award, organised by the SEAT-UPC Chair, is given each year to an outstanding young scientist who has recently completed a doctoral thesis in the field of automotive engineering, sciences and technology.

• Award for Quality in University Teaching

  This award aims to promote excellence in teaching, giving recognition to outstanding teaching activity at the UPC and to the improvement or implementation of methods to raise teaching standards at the University.

• Award for Quality in University Management

   This award gives recognition to quality in the management activities of administrative and service staff at the UPC.

• Architecture, Engineering, Science and Technology Award for upper secondary school and higher training cycle research projects

  The award aims to raise interest among upper secondary and higher training cycle students in the UPC's areas of expertise, with particular credit given to projects that demonstrate a concern for sustainability.

• UPC Science Fiction Competition

  Science fiction is the perfect genre for the UPC, bringing together the concepts of science, technology and literature and introducing students to elements of the fantastic that have become reality.

• UPC Research Valorisation Award

  The award gives recognition to the work of the UPC's research groups.

Competitions

• BAELLS Sustainable Challenge

  This competition is open to UPC students and the general public. The challenge is to design a sustainable vessel for inland navigation, on the Baells reservoir in Berguedà.

• Concurs Emprèn UPC-Yuzz

  This competition invites students to use the knowledge acquired during their degrees and any professional experience they might have to develop potentially marketable products and services.

• "Images from the South" Photography Competition

  The Centre for Development Cooperation organises this competition for all members of the university community, particularly those who have taken part in one of its cooperation projects in the preceding year.

• UPC Folder Design Competition

  The competition opens each September to find the winning design for the following year's UPC folder. Members of the university community vote online to choose the winning entry.

• Environmental and Sustainable Ideas Competition

  The UPC is constantly searching for innovative ideas, projects and actions to improve the sustainability of its schools and faculties and of the neighbourhoods, districts, towns and cities in which they are based.

• Three Headed Monkey Award. Social Point

  This competition is for video-game lovers – students, enthusiasts and independent developers – who are looking to showcase their talent.
