UPC Smart Cities

The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya · BarcelonaTech (UPC) has positioned itself as a driver of strategic projects in the smart cities sector based on its leadership in research projects and the expertise of its researchers.    

The UPC is currently leading over 120 research and innovation projects related to smart cities. The University will be presenting the technological capabilities of its research groups in this area at its stand at the Smart City Expo World Congress, which will be held at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via Exhibition Centre on 17–19 November

Smart city is the term for a new model of the city that integrates initiatives aimed at enhancing people’s quality of life and addresses the new challenges cities face, including management of infrastructure, health and social services, energy, urban mobility, environmental sustainability and governance. The smart city model also involves intensive use of information and communication technologies (ICTs).

The UPC on the Smart City Expo World Congress

Come to the stand of the Centre for Innovation and Technology (CIT UPC) in the Smart City Expo World Congress: from 17 to 19 November, the UPC will give visibility to the most innovative technology developed by research centers and groups in the field of smart cities. You will find us at stand B 304, located at hall 2 the fairgrounds.
