bcn.youth is a guide to Barcelona and to "Catalan culture", the passionate work of two young authors and principally, though not exclusively, aimed at young people from anywhere that have just arrived in the city or who are planning to stay here in the near future: university students and lecturers, tourists, travellers, workers, actors, street artists, sports people, scholarship holders, artists, reporters, etc.

bcn.youth combines the practical information of a guide with the contents of a reference book. In other words, it contains essential tips on how to discover for yourself whatever interests you in the city and in the region (fashion, architecture, gastronomy, music, art, leisure, etc.), while it offers more detailed information on various aspects of Catalan culture (social customs, popular traditions, contemporary customs, historical events, etc.) so you can improve your understanding of this new social reality.

Both the language and style of the guide are deliberately informal and relaxed (often ironic and-this if for you to judge-amusing). This is because we wanted to write in a style that is fresh, lively and personal, far from the formal and rigid style often found in such products, and because we thought this might prevent us from becoming overbearing, and instead offer you something entertaining and enjoyable to read.

This book has also been edited in Catalan and Spanish and was supported by the Directorate-General of the Department of Universities, Research and Information Society of the Generalitat (Government) of Catalonia.
