Prof. Frostell (Adjunct Prof. KTH) is teaching MSc and PhD courses in Environmental Systems Analysis, a MSc course in Cleaner Production, a PhD course on sustainable development and a MSc course in Integrated Waste Management. He worked during 5 years in an international company – ACBiotechnics, Arlöv, Skåne – with application of biogas technology on a full scale. Thereafter he joined the Swedish Environmental Research Institute (IVL) mainly in forest industry wastewater. Because his interests broadened and included more of systems aspects of environmental Management, he headed an international Economic Commission for Europe (ECE) working group on Policies and Strategies for Integrated Waste Management (1990-1992) with representatives from 7 countries. Since 1998 he is coordinating the KTH Research Forum on Sustainable Development, with financial support from the Å-forsk Research Foundation. On the other hand he is participating in international development cooperation projects, including the appointment as Environmental Advisor to Central America with responsibility for 6 countries (2000) by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
