David Balbás Alonso

Architect. Collaborator in the courses Urbanística 8, Taller d’Arquitectura i Projectes F and Projectes en Paisatges Culturals at UPC’s Vallès School of Architecture (ETSAV). Actually he is the technical coordinator of the Mobility Plans for the UPC campuses of Vallès and Baix Llobregat and member of the UPC Motor Group on Mobility.

His main working areas are urban mobility, particularly the local management of mobility due to university facilities, as well as dwelling and housing in Catalonia. He has been awarded several scholarships to develop studies and projects on those fields. He also has several publications on those subjects, and has taken part on dozens of lectures and conferences.
During 2009-2010 he was the coordinator of the STEPestudiants project, framed on the Sustainability Technology and Excellence Program 2015 of the UPC. He is also co-founder and active member of several associative movements concerned about social and sustainable issues, like the collective 50/50 of the ETSAV, or the platform of associations Diàlegs Sostenibilitat i Societat.
