Miquel Estrada

Miquel Estrada is Doctor on Civil Engineering and Ports from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. In June 2003 he joined the CENIT. During 2008, he made a postdoctoral stay at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, delving into the modeling of freight with Prof. José Holguín and the City University of New York (Robert Paaswell) for temporary funding as public transport. He has done his PhD in planning distribution routes in the School of Civil Engineers, Canales y Puertos de Barcelona. He is professor in the Department of Transport and Territory Infrastructure since 2004 and author of several publications, including three international journal Science Citation Index (SCI). In 2008 he received the Award V Research Abertis Infraestructuras Transport Management for his doctoral thesis "Analysis of efficient strategies in parcel distribution logistics". His research interests include logistics and transport terminals; public transport operations; modelling of transport systems.
