What we do

Mission

The International Relations Bureau is in charge of planning, advising, organising and providing support for activities and projects in the field of international relations, as well as designing, scheduling and executing associated processes according to the policies and guidelines of governing bodies and the legal framework to foster institutions’ loyalty and to promote international mobility, internationalisation and the UPC’s external reach.

Functions

• Giving support and technical assistance in the drafting and follow-up of institutional agreements.
• Designing actions to promote internationalisation at the University (contacting international staff at other institutions, promoting the mobility of the university community, hosting different types of international staff, accompanying guests during visits to our schools, encouraging participation in international fairs, etc.).
• Internationally advertise the excellence of the UPC’s areas.
• Giving visibility to the University’s activities and channelling business demands towards UPC units and groups.
• Attending and participating in meetings of institutions, university networks, companies, etc. in order to establish synergies and cooperation on joint projects.
• Coordinating and performing actions concerning our International Policy Plan.
• Advising teachers about organising conferences and giving them support in the process of making logistical decisions.
• Supporting governing bodies in the search for opportunities to build strategic alliances and developing and monitoring strategic projects.
