The Department of Construction Engineering is divided into three sections: Structural Technology, Building Materials and Industrial Construction. It runs two active laboratories: the Structural Technology Laboratory (LTE) and the Building Materials Laboratory (LMC). Moreover, it is responsible for numerous research projects subsidised by the private and public sectors. The Department also runs a doctoral degree course in Construction Engineering and participates in doctoral degree courses in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Aerospace Science and Technology.
