UPC Sicence Fiction Award: personal data protection

The personal data provided by participants in the UPC Science Fiction Award will be processed by the UPC and added to the following processing activities:

• F03.19 Management of awards, competitions, donations and similar events organised by the University: to manage applications to participate in the competition, issue the decision and publicise the event. • F005 Dissemination with distribution lists of cultural, artistic and social university extension activities: to send you information on other editions of the Award. Further information is available at: https://rat.upc.edu/ca/registre-de-tractaments-de-dades-personals/F005.

The legal basis for processing the management of the Award is the execution of a contract to which the interested person is a party. The legal basis for processing the sending of information on forthcoming editions is the consent given in submitting an entry to the competition. You may revoke this consent at any time by writing to consell.social@upc.edu.

Information on the winners of the Award will be published on the UPC website and on social networks.

Information on the prizewinners will be communicated to the publisher Apache for the purposes of editing and publishing the work.

Data will be conserved during the process of awarding the prize and the appeals period and will be subject to the regulations on archives and documentary heritage.

You may exercise the right of access to your data, the right to their rectification, erasure and portability and the right to restrict and object to their processing, as well as the right not to be the object of decisions based solely on the automated processing of your data, if applicable, at the UPC, Consell Social, edifici R, 1a planta, Campus Nord UPC, Jordi Girona, 31, 08034 Barcelona, or by writing to consell.social@upc.edu.

If you have been unable to exercise your rights to your satisfaction, you can file a complaint with the Catalan Data Protection Authority.
