La UPC protegida

The UPC plan for progressively reinstating face-to-face activities presents the criteria for doing so on UPC campuses once it is authorised by the competent authorities. In the current exceptional circumstances, this roadmap is subject to any changes that the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic requires.

On 8 September, the Standing Committee of the Governing Council approved a set of measures complementing  (only in Catalan)those approved by the Governing Council on 2 July (Governing Council Decision CG/2020/05/04, only in Catalan) that bring together the actions and protocols of the reopening stage of the lockdown easing plan. The Decision of September 2020 updates and renders void all provisions that contradict this new document.

- make face-to-face studies a priority
- face masks are compulsory
- minimum distance of two metres and avoid crowding
- implementing mesuares of hygiene and ventilation
- protocols in the case of outbreaks

Persons in charge of COVID-19 at the UPC

Find out who they are the persons in charge of COVID-19 at the UPC act as liaisons with the health authorities and the Office of the General Manager at the UPC on this subject. They are familiar with the protocols of the University and of the authorities.

In UPC buildings

  1. Disinfection and cleaning are essential in the fight against COVID-19 and they require everyone's collaboration.


  2. Find the Punt Net:punt net at which the protective equipment that is needed at each moment is distributed.

  3. Remember that some facilities and machinery are temporarily unavailable.


  4. Reduce your use of different spaces, and avoid contact with the surfaces in the building as much as possible.

Monitoring COVID-19 in the UPC community

During the four stages for reinstating face-to-face activities at the University, members of the community who have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus continue to be monitored regularly. Participation is voluntary and allows the impact of the crisis on the University to be monitored.
