Raising the profile of female talent
The ranking of Spanish and foreign female researchers in Spain is compiled by the CSIC’s Cybermetrics Lab to increase the visibility of women’s work in science and promote open science. The study is based on public data from Google Scholar, a search engine specialising in scientific content and literature.
The ranking orders researchers firstly by their h-index (a research impact indicator that combines the number of published papers with citations received) and secondly by their total number of citations. To be included in this edition, researchers must have an ORCID identifier in their Google Scholar profile and an h-index of at least 18.
