Patents and Licensing

Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya carries out an important research activity and the transmission of its results to the market and, nowadays, is one of the leading universities in requested and exploited patents, with a 500 patents portfolio and more than 100 licenses.

In 2008, the Catalan goverment approved the creation of the Patents and Licensing Office with the aim of caring the research results and its transmission to the market as well as to take part in the valuation process in order to bring the technology to the market.
