The UPC is ranked among the world’s top universities in SDG 9 Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, SDG 12 Responsible Consumption and Production and SDG 13 Climate Action

The THE Sustainability Impact Ratings assess the impact of universities’ contributions to the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In the 2026 edition of the THE Sustainability Impact Ratings, the UPC participated in 12 SDGs: SDG 3 Good Health and Well-Being, SDG 4 Quality Education, SDG 5 Gender Equality, SDG 6 Clean Water and Sanitation, SDG 7 Affordable and Clean Energy, SDG 9 Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, SDG 10 Reduced Inequalities, SDG 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 12 Responsible Consumption and Production, SDG 13 Climate Action, SDG 16 Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions and the mandatory SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals.

Among these, the three in which the UPC achieved the best results in this edition—and which have therefore been included in the global ranking along with the mandatory SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals—are SDG 9 Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, SDG 12 Responsible Consumption and Production and SDG 13 Climate Action.
