International Strategy

Internationalization has been strategic for UPC for the last 20 years. The first Plan on International Strategy, in 1996, set the positioning on internationalization of studies, research and staff until 2002. The Second International Relations plan, between 2003 and 2007,  designed internationalization processes, focusing on teaching, research, development cooperation, personnel policy and governance culture. The third International Policy Plan, 2008-2015, stressed on the importance of the institutional culture of the University. Currently the fourth Plan (2016-2018) is finishing, which includes international projection and internationalization at home. The plan impacts all the areas in which institutional strategy will be aligned with the strategy at center and research groups, and will mark out an international framework to increase participation in international academic networks and to open new channels of communication with other countries.
