UPC card

The UPC card identifies you as a UPC student during your stay in UPC and it gives you access to the library and its services. It will also allow you to access the sports facilities if you have registered and paid the monthly fee.

The UPC card is no longer a physical, plastic card. It is on your mobile phone.

How do I activate my UPC card in my mobile phone?

For this:

(- Previously, in the online admission process, you should have provided your photo.)

- First, you must download in your mobile phone the "UPC App" application. See:
https://www.upc.edu/identitatdigital/ca/carnetupc

- After formalizing your UPC enrolment (registration), the section "my UPC card" will be activated in your "UPC App". (Only after formalizing the UPC registration. Otherwise, the section is not visible in the app.)

Special cases

- I want to access the BRGF library at Campus Nord Barcelona UPC punctually before my enrolment; or because today I forgot my mobile phone at home :(

Please contact the staff at the front desk of BRGF library at Campus Nord UPC. They have plastic cards for punctual access, for one day. They will note down your data and they will indicate you how to proceed and how it works.

- Access to a specific laboratory (some final projects or thesis)

If you need to access a specific laboratory and you are in one of the following cases:
• You are an exchange student who came to the UPC to complete the final degree or master's thesis;
• Or if you are a bachelor, master or doctorate student (who is studying at the UPC) and you must complete the bachelor or master final project, or the master or doctorate thesis.
You should follow the steps indicated above (in blue) and in addition, your UPC tutor should request to the department that they provide you with a UPC card to access that specific lab ; with a (physical) plastic card.

- You came to make an internship in the UPC facilities

If you came to UPC to make an internship in the UPC facilities (and therefore you will not be enrolled as a student in UPC) and you need access to a specific laboratory, your UPC tutor should request to the department that they provide you with a UPC card to access that specific lab; with a (physical) plastic card.

Problems with the UPC card

If you have any difficulty with the activation of your UPC card in the UPC App, please contact your coordination at the UPC:
- If you are an exchange student, please contact the International Relations Officer of your host UPC school or faculty;
- If you are a regular bachelor, master or doctorate student, please contact the academic secretary of your UPC program.
