In January 2001, UPC and Grup JG Enginyers Consultors created the Grup JG Chair for the study of sustainability applied to building services engineering. The aim of the new chair, whose headquarters are located at the Department of Construction Engineering at the School of Industrial Engineering of Barcelona (ETSEIB), is to engage in training, research and technology transfer activities and scientific and technological awareness-raising initiatives in this field.
