Welcome to SALMon framework Page!
SALMon is an on-going research framework developed by Marc Rodriguez and Marc Oriol with the supervision of Xavier Franch and Jordi Marco, as part of the activities of the GESSI research group of the Technical University of Catalunya, UPC).
The goal of SALMon is to provide a tool for (1) monitoring the QoS of a Service, (2) report the obtained Quality information and (3) report SLA violations.
SALMon has been used in the following projects:
GESSI projects
- QuPreSS: A platform to assess prediction accuracy of forecasting services. http://gessi.lsi.upc.edu/ForecastVerifier/
- WeSSQos: Service selection framework that supports the discovery of web services based on their QoS and the user's non-functional requirements, by providing a ranking to help the user in the web service selection process.

Collaboration projects
- Federation Cloud Management: A framework to support cloud federation with an integrated service monitoring approach. This framework has been developed in conjunction with the Laboratory of Parallel and Distributed Systems in the MTA SZTAKI, Budapest, Hungary.
- SALMonADA: Platform to monitor and analyse SLAs stablished in WS-Agreement in order to provide timely and comprehensive explanations of violations. This platform has been developed in conjunction with the ISA Research Group, University of Seville, Spain. http://www.isa.us.es/ada.source/SLAnalyzer/
- MAESoS: Framework for self-adaptive Service Based Systems which aims to ensure the QoS requirements of the user established in i*. This framework is being developed through a collaborative work with the Johannes Kepler Universität, Linz, Austria.
- PROSA: Framework for self-adaptive Service Based Systems that combines passive monitoring and online testing. This framework is developed by the Software Systems Engineering group in the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany.
