The UPC’s teaching model allows students to pursue two degrees simultaneously and acquire knowledge from related studies. The University offers four types of double degree.

Double degrees at the Interdisciplinary Higher Education Centre (CFIS) are designed for particularly able and motivated students from all over Spain. Students can take two official bachelor's degree courses simultaneously in a maximum period of five years, at the end of which they are awarded two official degrees and a UPC-specific degree from the CFIS.

The CFIS runs its own admissions procedure to ensure that students admitted are able to follow the intensive curriculum successfully. It is sponsored and supported by various institutions and private businesses, which enables it to offer scholarships to cover enrolment fees and accommodation in Barcelona.

At some UPC schools, bachelor's degree students can choose specific academic tracks that lead to a double degree by taking additional credits belonging to another degree taught at the same school. This will generally mean extending your studies by one academic year. The number of places is limited, and to be eligible you will need to have passed a minimum number of credits on one of the school's bachelor's degrees.
