2026–2027 bachelor's and master's degrees academic calendar

	Teaching days for final thesis examination committees
⁽¹⁾	Non-working days are Saturdays and holidays and periods of low occupancy of spaces, in accordance with Board of Trustees Decision CS/2025/09/6, of December 19, 2025, of the Social Council, which approves the UPC's 2026 budget.	⁽²⁾	During the non-teaching periods, ordinary classes are no taught, no exams are held, and final thesis examination committees are not convened.

In addition to these public holidays must be added, for each educational center, the local holidays of its city (local holiday).

Public holidays are Sundays and those declared as such in the work calendar published by the Generalitat of Catalonia (general holiday), in accordance with Order EMT/66/2025, of April 30, which establishes the official calendar of work holidays in Catalonia for the year 2026 (DOGC 9406, of May 6, 2025) and those determined for the year 2027.

Start and end of Academic year 2026-2027

Start of the academic year: September 1, 2026
End of the academic year: August 31, 2027
However, the following academic activities are considered for the 2026-2027 academic year:
- External internships carried out from September 16, 2026 until September 15, 2027.
- The TFG / TFM (final work) assessment acts corresponding to enrollments for the 2026-2027 academic year and carried out until September 15, 2027.
- Assessment acts with additional registration for TFG / TFM (final work) or external internships carried out until October 31, 2027, in accordance with the terms set out in the academic regulations for bachelor's and master’s degree studies.

Non-teaching periods 2026-2027

Christmas: from December 28, 2026 to January 5, 2027
Easter: from March 22 to 25, 2027
Summer: from August 1 to 31, 2027

Saturdays are considered non-teaching days, although, for teaching reasons, they may be determined to be teaching days for some specific studies.

In the period between July 1 and 31, 2027, no regular teaching will be given.

1. Pre-enrolment periods for undergraduate studies (University Access Office, Government of Catalonia)

General pre-registration June 2026: June 2 to 26, 2026
Pre-registration September 2026: September 16 and 17, 2026

2. Enrolment periods

New students who have pre-enroled in the general pre-enrolment period
- Persons assigned in their 1st preference: July 14 to 17, 2026
- Claims and definitive allocation: July 17, 2026
- June 2nd assignment: July 24 to 28, 2026
- June 3th assignment: September 7 and 8, 2026
- June 4th assignment: September 16, 2026
- June 5th assignment: September 25, 2026
- June 6th assignment: October 8, 2026
- 1st assignment to the September call: September 28, 2026

Students who have already enroled in previous years
- Autumn semester and annual enrolment: July 14 to 30 and September 1 to 4, 2026
- Spring semester: January 25 to February 12, 2027

3. Applications to change university and/or official studies

Start in the autumn semester
- Publication of the offer of places: second fortnight of June 2026
- Submission of applications: until July 15, 2026
- Resolution of the receiving center: until September 1, 2026
- Enrolment: until September 4, 2026

Start in the spring semester
- Publication of the offer of places: second fortnight of December 2026
- Submission of applications: until January 29, 2027
- Resolution of the receiving center: until February 5, 2027
- Enrolment: until February 12, 2027

1. Pre-inscription periods for master's studies

New students
- Autumn semester and, if applicable, in the spring semester
  - Pre-inscription: January 8 to July 1, 2026⁽¹⁾
  - Publication of admitted students (conditionally and definitively): deadline July 17, 2026
- Spring semester
  - Pre-inscription: October 5 to December 9, 2026⁽¹⁾
  - Publication of admitted students (conditionally and definitely): deadline January 15, 2027
- Extraordinary pre-enrolment period in September
  - Pre-inscription: September 1 to 3, 2026 ⁽¹⁾

New students of the Master's degree in Secondary and Upper Secondary Education
- The pre-inscription process is formalized through the portal of the University Admissions Office of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
- Pre-inscription: July 23 to September 4, 2026
2027-2028 academic year admission (fall semester, and spring semester if applicable)
- To open the pre-inscription period for fall 2027-2028, it is necessary to have completed the previous pre-inscription period (spring 2026-2027).
  - Pre-inscription: January 8 to July 1, 2027

COMMON PERIODS FOR BACHELOR'S & MASTER'S DEGREES STUDIES

Periods for bachelor's and master's degrees thesis defence

Semestral enrolment
- Additional to Q2 (having made regular enrolment in Q1): until May 31, 2027 (the date of May 31 may be brought forward to April 30 or extended to July 15 if, for organizational reasons, the center considers it appropriate).
- Additional to Q1(having made regular enrolment in Q2 of the previous year): until October 31, 2027.

Yearly enrolment
- Regular registration in Q1 + additional to Q2: until May 31, 2027 (the date of May 31 may be brought forward to April 30 or extended to July 15 if, for organizational reasons, the center considers it appropriate).
- Additional to Q1 (having made regular enrolment in Q2 of the previous year): until October 31, 2027.

Application for recognition of subjects

Studies with semestral enrolment
- Autumn semester: in June, July and until September 1, 2026.
- Spring semester: in December 2025 and until January 30, 2027.

Studies with yearly enrolment
- During the months of June, July and until September 1, 2026.

Application to continue on a degree course (students declared unfit according to the permanence regulations)

Students who have not met the minimum academic progress requirements in their first year or the initial stage
- Autumn semester 2026-2027: until February 15, 2027.
- Quarter Spring 2026-2027: until July 17, 2027.
- Annual enrolment: until July 17, 2027.

Application to drop out studies

Studies with curricular evaluation
- Fall semester: before the start of the curricular assessment (centers must set a deadline in their calendar).
- Spring semester: before the start of the curricular assessment (centers must set a deadline in their calendar).

Studies without curricular evaluation
- Fall semester: before the end of the evaluation period (centers must set a deadline in their calendar).
- Spring semester: before the end of the evaluation period (centers must set a deadline in their calendar).

Application for enrolment changes (NAGRAMA point 2.7)

Centers will establish the period of applications for each academic period from the moment of enrolment until, at most:

Studies with semestral enrolment

Autumn semester: until September 15, 2026 (exclusively for master's degrees studies until September 22, 2026).
Spring semester: until February 19, 2027.

Studies with yearly enrolment

Until September 15, 2026 (exclusively for master's degree studies until September 22, 2025).

Application for dropping subjects and waiver of enrolment

Autumn semester: until October 31, 2026.
Spring semester: until March 31, 2027 (in the case of scholarship students, the deadline is February 19, 2027).

In the event of illness or serious accident of the student or a first-degree relative that makes it impossible to attend the studies for a period of more than one month, these deadlines are extended until December 15, 2026 and the May 15, 2027 respectively.
