Master's degree courses

During these periods no classes or examinations will be held, although bachelor's, master's and final thesis examination committees may meet.

 

  • From 24 December 2016 to 5 January 2017 (Christmas)(1)
  • From 10 to 17 April 2017 (Easter)(1)
  • From 1 to 31 August 2017 (Summer holidays)(1)
  • The period between 1 and 29 July is considered a teaching period for thesis examination committees and bachelor’s degree reassessment committees.

(1) If the University decides to close its facilities to save energy, the competent bodies will stipulate whether bachelor's, master's and final thesis examination committees can meet during this period.



Bachelor's degree courses

1. Pre-enrolment periods (University Access Advisory Office, OOAU)

  • General pre-enrolment in June 2016: From 6 June to 1 July 2016
  • Pre-enrolment in September 2016: 20 and 21 September 2016
  • Pre-enrolment for requalifying students in 2016: From 7 to 14 June 2016
  • Pre-enrolment for open enrolment courses in 2016: From 5 to 7 October 2016
  • Pre-enrolment in February 2016: From 7 to 9 February 2017


2. Enrolment periods

  • New students who have pre-enrolled in the general pre-enrolment period (1)
    • Students assigned to their first choice: from 13 to 18 July 2016

    • Cannot be extended beyond 31 October 2017


4. Periods for applying to change university and/or degree course

  • Students who started in the autumn semester
    • Publication of number of places: last two weeks in June 2016
    • Submission of applications: up to 8 July 2016
    • Resolution of the school: up to 2 September 2016
  • Students who started in the spring semester
    • Publication of number of places: last two weeks in December 2016
    • Submission of applications: up to 16 January 2017
    • Resolution of the school: up to 31 January 2017(1)

5. Periods for applying for recognition/validation

  • Courses with semestral enrolment
    • Autumn semester: in July 2016 and from 1 to 6 September 2016
    • Spring semester: in December 2016 and in the first two weeks in January 2017
  • Courses with yearly enrolment 
    • In June, July and up to 6 September 2016


6. Periods for applying to continue on a degree course

  • Students who have not met the minimum academic progress requirements in their first year or the initial stage
    • Autumn semester 2016-2016: up to 3 February 2017
    • Spring semester 2016-2016: up to 21 July 2017
  • Students on degree courses with yearly enrolment must comply with the deadlines for students who have not passed the spring semester.


7. Deadlines for dropping subjects and application for refuse the enrolment process

  • Autumn semester: up to 31 October 2016
  • Spring semester: up to 31 March 2017

 

8. Deadlines for enrolment changes

  • Autumn semester: up to 15 September 2016
  • Spring semester: up to 20  2017

(1) Exceptionally, if the school deems it appropriate a decision may be taken after the deadline, as long as it is not after the end of the enrolment period.
(2) May 31 will advance to April 30 or extend until July 15 if, for organizational reasons, the school considers appropriate.
 

 


Master's degree courses

      • Publication of the list of students admitted: up to 20 January 2017
    • Extraordinary pre-enrolment period in September
      • Pre-enrolment: From 7 to 9 September 2016(1)
      • Publication of the list of students admitted: up to 19 September 2016
  • Students who have already enrolled in previous years
    • Autumn semester: From 11 to 29 July and from 1 to 6 setember 2016
    • Spring semester: From 1 to 10 February 2017
(1)Within this period, the school or university research institute may establish its own pre-enrolment and enrolment periods. The condition for this is that admission and enrolment for the previous period must have ended.

As of 10 July, according to the Governing Council document Criteria and Procedures for the Withdrawal of Degree Courses and Pathways, which was approved on 30 January 2013, degree courses for which there are fewer than 10 students who have paid to reserve a place will be reviewed. Students will be reassigned to other master's degrees. Before this date, the data will have been analysed and the people involved consulted.


2. Admission periods for the autumn semester of the 2017-2018 academic year

From 9 January to 7 July 2017


3. Periods for the master's thesis defence

  • Semestral enrolment
    • Autumn semester (enrolment) + spring semester (extended enrolment): up to 31 May 2017 (2)
    • Spring semester (enrolment) + autumn semester (extended enrolment): up to 31 October 2017
