Durbec Aero

PlasmAccelerate
The project focuses on accelerating the transfer of cancer treatments based on cold plasma at atmospheric pressure, which are aimed especially at combating bone cancers (such as osteosarcoma) and paediatric tumours.

4 Years From Now 2026
The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) featured prominently at the 2026 4YFN (Four Years From Now) event devoted to technological entrepreneurship that is held as part of the 2026 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Over four days, the entrepreneurial ecosystem linked to the University demonstrated its innovative potential with the participation of start-ups and spin-offs, pitching sessions and various institutional activities.
2026 Barcelona Deep Tech Summit
The 2026 Barcelona Deep Tech Summit returns from 3 to 5 November at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via site, as part of the Smart City Expo World Congress. The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya · BarcelonaTech (UPC) will feature prominently with a delegation of 15 technology-based companies: eight spin-offs from the University, two start-ups and five start-ups incubated at ESA BIC Barcelona, the European Space Agency’s business incubation centre managed by the UPC. Registration to attend the Barcelona Deep Tech Summit is free.
