Introduction

Putting theater theory in relation to that of architecture is one of the objectives of the subject. Reflecting around the theater, drama and the scenic space is an exercise that gives lessons in architecture.

Designing a set is making architecture. It helps to control the distance between the spectator and the contemplated work, to measure the depth of a field of action, to understand the effects created by visual planes, to play with the various scales between objects, with perspectives, illusory effects...

It allows you to investigate the shape, color, light, sound, movement ... space. The same abstract components of architecture. We must not ignore it, throughout history architects have made set designs.
