What is INTEXTER

INTEXTER is a basic unit of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). Its activities are aimed at promoting research and industrial cooperation in all areas of the textile sector and other related fields. INTEXTER’s activities cover two complementary areas, ranging from R&D of products and processes to establishing the most suitable mechanisms for opening new pathways for technology transfer and cooperation with industry through R&D projects. Another objective of INTEXTER is the training of technologists and researchers, which is carried out through the delivery of lectures in Doctoral Courses.

From a technical and scientific perspective, INTEXTER has extensive experience in the search for textile manufacturing processes and related products. The main focus of the research carried out lies in the design, analysis, optimization, and quality assurance of production processes. Research activities are concentrated on the development and application of special measurement techniques to analyze and optimize textile processes throughout the entire value chain.
