The Institute of Textile Research and Industrial Cooperation of Terrassa (INTEXTER) is recognized as a TECNIO developer center by the Agency for Business Competitiveness of the Government of Catalonia. This distinction highlights its key role in the innovation and competitiveness of the textile sector, reflecting its ability to transfer technology and knowledge to companies, thereby contributing to their growth and modernization. Additionally, INTEXTER is a member of the TECNIO Association, which brings together accredited technology centers to promote knowledge transfer and collaboration with the business ecosystem.
INTEXTER is part of various innovation networks and platforms that strengthen its research and technology transfer activities. Internationally, it is a member of the Textile Transfer Network (TEXTRANET), a network that facilitates the exchange of knowledge and technologies among European textile research centers. It also participates in XRE4S – R&D&I Network Energy for Society, which promotes applied research in the energy field, and in the Catalan Water Partnership (CWP), focused on innovation in the water sector. At the Catalan level, it is part of Tèxtils.cat, a textile innovation network that fosters collaboration among stakeholders in the sector.
In the associative sphere, INTEXTER is a member of the Spanish Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AEQCT), an organization that promotes training and innovation in textile chemistry. It is also a member of the Confederation of the Textile Industry (TEXFOR) and the Catalan Fashion and Textile Cluster (MODACC), which work to boost the competitiveness and internationalization of companies in the sector. Additionally, it participates in initiatives such as the Textile and Fashion Observatory (OTM), which analyzes trends and challenges in the sector at the national level.
This broad network of collaborations enables the Institute to stay up to date with the latest trends and needs of the textile sector, while facilitating the creation of innovative projects and the effective transfer of technology. Partnerships with academic, business, and institutional entities strengthen ties with the industry and expand opportunities for joint cooperation and development.
