RFLEX

Radio Frequency Identification and Flexible Electronics

The consolidated research group RFLEX (Radio Frequency Identification and Flexible Electronics) (2021 SGR 00389) is part of the Department of Electronic Engineering and is affiliated with INTEXTER (Institute of Textile Research and Industrial Cooperation of Terrassa). The group’s research focuses on electronic components on flexible substrates, particularly antennas and sensors for radio frequency identification (RFID) systems in the fields of health and sports.

The group’s latest developments include sensor antennas integrated into textile substrates using UHF-RFID technology to detect sucrose concentration in a solution, low-frequency sensors embedded in chair upholstery or bed sheets for humidity monitoring, and the integration of respiratory frequency antennas.
