The FEA‑VEE project receives European recognition as a Good Practice
The European project Fashion Earth Alliance – Vocational Excellence and Enterprise (FEA‑VEE) has been recognised as a Good Practice Project by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (DG EMPL), within the framework of the Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) initiative.
This recognition highlights the impact of FEA‑VEE as a benchmark initiative in promoting excellence in vocational education, aligned with the current challenges of the textile, fashion and garment sector, especially in areas such as sustainability, digitalisation and green entrepreneurship.
The project has been featured by the European Commission in several official publications, including:
- The guide “Unlocking Potential”, published by the Publications Office of the European Union (p. 24),
- The report “Advancing European Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs)”, prepared by DG EMPL, where the project is mentioned in various sections,
-
The CoVE case study annex, where FEA‑VEE is included as a highlighted example (pp. 98–104).
Funded by the Erasmus+ programme, FEA‑VEE brings together organisations from six European countries and promotes cooperation between training centres, universities, technology centres and companies to attract young talent and strengthen the skills needed for the sector’s sustainable transformation.
INTEXTER‑UPC, as a participating organisation, highly values this recognition, which reinforces the importance of European collaboration and the role of research and innovation in moving towards a more sustainable, competitive and future-ready textile sector.
