The 2016 edition of the Taiwan Ranking (NTU Ranking) has been published

The UPC remains among the world’s top 100 institutions and is the top Spanish university in the Engineering field.

The 2016 edition of the Performance Ranking of Scientific Papers for World Universities was published on 10 October. The Ranking is published by the National Taiwan University (NTU) and is also known as the NTU Ranking or Taiwan Ranking.

The Ranking, the first editions of which were called the HEEACT because of the Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan’s involvement in its publication, uses bibliometric data from the Web of Science’s Science Citation Index (SCI) and Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) to assess the productivity, impact and excellence of universities’ scientific output.

In addition to the overall ranking, the NTU also publishes six rankings by field and 14 rankings by subject.

The UPC remains among the world’s top 500 universities in the overall ranking, is the top Spanish institution in the Engineering field and is ranked in several subjects, in some of which, such as Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics, it is among the world’s top 100 institutions.
