The UPC is ranked among the 26 best universities in the world in Architecture and Built Environment and among the 34 best universities in Civil and Structural Engineering.

The QS World University Rankings by Subject score institutions’ results in five broad subject areas and in forty-two specific subjects. Regarding the broad subject areas, the UPC is ranked 84th in Engineering and Technology; 299th in Natural Sciences; 363rd in Social Sciences and Management (where it is ranked for the first time); and 384th in Arts and Humanities.

Regarding the specific subjects, the UPC’s best result is obtained in Architecture and Built Environment, for which it is ranked 26th in the world, followed by Civil and Structural Engineering, for which it is ranked 34th.

The UPC ranks in the 51-100 band in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and in Mathematics.

It ranks in the 101-150 band in Art and Design (for the first time), Computer Science and Mechanical, Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering; in the 151-200 band in Materials Science; in the 201-250 band in Chemical Engineering, Agriculture and Forestry (for the first time in both cases) and Environmental Sciences; and in the 251-300 band in Physics and Astronomy and Business and Management Studies (for the first time in the latter case).
