The 2025 CWTS Leiden Ranking Open Edition has been updated

The Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) of Leiden University has updated the 2024 Leiden Ranking Open Edition, based on open and reproducible data from sources such as OpenAlex.

The Leiden Ranking Open Edition provides not only overall results but also rankings in the following fields: Biomedical and Health Sciences, Life and Earth Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Science, Physical Sciences and Engineering, and Social Sciences and Humanities. The analysis is based on scientific output indicators, which are grouped into three main types: scientific impact, collaboration and open access. 

The 2025 edition, among other outstanding results the UPC is ranked the 49th worlwide in number of scientific publications in collaboration with the Industry in Mathematics and Computer Science.
