This section provides a list of UPC researchers who are positioned in the various ranking publications, and a study of the frequencies of the number of UPC researchers and researchers from the other three state technical universities that are positioned in the fields and disciplines in the three first editions. 

Regarding this study, in the 2019, 2020 and 2021 editions, the UPC had the highest number of authors in the group of state technical universities of all the annual lists, except that which considers the citations received in 2017, which the UPC leads jointly with the UPV. In these three years, the UPC also led state technical universities in the number of researchers who are highly cited in the fields of Engineering, Physics and Astronomy, Mathematics and Statistics. Currently, no comparative study has been carried out with the results of later editions.
