Welcome! Language and culture workshop

Welcome! is a 90-minute workshop aimed at international students who have just arrived at the UPC and would like to make contact with Catalan language and culture. It is organised and taught by the Language and Terminology Service, in collaboration with the International Relations Bureau during the Orientation Week held in September and February.

The workshop, which can be taken in English or Spanish and is offered both online and in person, provides tips on customs and manners in our society, such as how to greet a person you have just met, punctuality, when to use the formal or informal “you” and what to do when you get invited to dinner.
