Seminar: “Consider the rankings, they are telling us something”

The seminar was divided into two talks and a round table.

The first talk was given by Tia Loukkola, director of Institutional Development at the European University Association (EUA), on the impact of the main university rankings. The second was given by Félix de Moya from the SCImago Group on the ranking published by this group (SIR), and on research as addressed in university rankings.

The round table focused on the position of Spanish universities in global rankings and was led by Francesc X. Grau, former rector of the Rovira i Virgili University, with the participation of Carmen Pérez Esparrells (UAM) and Elias Sanz (UC3 and director of the Interuniversity Institute of Advanced Research on Evaluation of Science and Universities, INAECU).
