CV Isabel Mercader Calvo

Retired University Professor (September 30, 2020) of the Physics Department. He began his teaching work at the UPC in the Faculty of Computer Science and until his retirement was linked to the Barcelona School of Telecommunications (ETSETB). She also taught in the former Master's and in the Computational and Applied Physics Doctorate program, of which she was coordinator (2005-2008). In the former Department of Applied Physics, she held the positions of secretary, research coordinator and doctoral coordinator. In 2019 he received the 22nd UPC Prize for Quality in University Teaching.

In the research section, he is part of the Non-linear Fluid Dynamics group of the UPC and belongs to the group consolidated by the Generalitat: Fluid Dynamics: Formation of structures and Geophysical applications. The research carried out within these groups uses numerical simulation and dynamic systems theory to study various problems of Fluid Mechanics, sharing numerical and theoretical tools developed within the group. She has about 60 indexed articles, has directed 5 doctoral theses and has participated in numerous projects, being Principal Investigator in four of them. She was accredited full professor in 2014.
