Basic 1


Aimed at	Students and teaching staff at UPC schools of the UPC. Members of UPC Alumni, the UPC Group, associated research entities and affiliated schools
Duration and delivery	Online and blended learning courses with continuous assessment and a final exam. Online tutorials in the Parla.cat course. 50 hours total 41 hours of guided virtual learning 9 hours online sessions with the tutor-group 6 weeks (intensive: 4 weeks) In order to take the courses, you must devote 4.5 hours a week to self-directed learning tasks. This course continues with Basic 2.
Credits	2 ECTS (for mobility students, to be recognised at the university of origin)
Level	Equivalent to the Common European Framework of Reference level A2.1
Certificates	1. Certificate of attendance: minimum 80% of attendance + 60 points minimum average score in Parlacat activities + writing and speaking tasks. 2. Certificate of completion: minimum 80% of attendance + 60 points minimum average score in Parlacat activities + writing and speaking tasks + final test.
Fees	Students at UPC schools: €20 (registration fee). If you pass a module, the next module at Level A2 is free. Teaching staff at UPC schools: free. Members of UPC Alumni, the UPC Group, UPC School student, associated research entities and affiliated schools: €90.
