Links between the UPC and China

The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya · BarcelonaTech, together with the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey and the Universidad de Sevilla, belongs to the Sino-Spanish Campus (S-SC) of Tongji University, Shanghai.

Created in 2012, the S-SC is a platform for academic cooperation, research and innovation between China, Spain and Latin America, based on openness, tolerance, mutually beneficial collaboration and shared principles. It is made up of universities that excel in the application of technology to the social challenges faced by China and the Spanish-speaking world. Its goal is to become a key player in cultural, educational, scientific and technological exchanges between China, Spain and Latin America, as well as to promote the progress of its members.

The S-SC's activities include student exchange programmes, double degree agreements, joint research projects, short stays for researchers, the organisation of academic, scientific and innovation events, and a start-up incubator, amongst others.
