International Staff Training Week 2026

The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya · BarcelonaTech  (UPC) is glad to invite you to our 2026 International Staff Training Week, organized within the framework of the Erasmus programme for UPC's esteemed partner universities.

Objective

The event is intended to offer a comprehensive overview of international mobility management while showcasing UPC’s strategic initiatives in internationalization, innovation, and cooperation.

The ISTW 2026 is designed to:

  • Foster the exchange of best practices between UPC staff and international colleagues.

  • Create networking opportunities to strengthen institutional partnerships.

  • Explore new trends in promotion, internationalization and mobilities management.

  • Offer an immersive cultural experience in our vibrant Mediterranean setting.

 

Target audience

The program is aimed at administrative and technical staff from partner universities, interested in benchmarking, knowledge sharing, and networking.

We would be pleased to welcome all applicants but, for organizational reasons, the number of participants is limited to 30. Priority will be given to staff from Erasmus+ Partner Institutions (KA131, KA171 and Bilateral Agreements), with special attention for those from the Unite! Alliance.

Once your place at the ISTW has been confirmed, you will receive a detailed day-to-day agenda.  

 

Programme

The UPC ISTW 2026 will combine presentations, networking sessions, and guided visits. Key topics will include international outreach, global alliances, internationalization management, ... with talks by UPC experts and opportunities for knowledge exchange among attendees. Participants will also visit UPC facilities and emblematic buildings in Barcelona and Terrassa, fostering both professional exchange and cultural discovery.


Accommodation

Barcelona offers a wide range of accommodation options near the Campus Nord or the city center. Please contact your chosen hotel directly to ensure availability. The UPC does not manage hotel reservations for this event.



Cost

There are no registration fees. Participants are expected to cover their own expenses (travel, accommodation, etc.) which may be funded through ERASMUS+KA131 or ERASMUS+KA171 staff mobility grants.
