"France Excellence Europe" scholarships, to study a master's degree in France

Purpose
The "France Excellence Europe" scholarship program allows students from the 26 EU member states to apply for a grant to study a Master's degree at a French higher education institution.
Duration and economic conditions of the scholarships
The duration of the scholarships is 12 months if you enroll in M1 and 24 months if you enroll in M2.
- Payment of a semester allowance of €6,850;
- Payment of a settlement grant of €1,700;
- Free registration for national degrees at universities and public institutions under the supervision of the ministry responsible for higher education;
- Priority assistance in finding accommodation in CROUS university residences (the rest of the rent is paid by the scholarship holder);
- Membership of an insurance scheme during the first 3 months of arrival in France (pending affiliation to the general social security scheme), for those who do not hold a European Health Insurance Card.
- Membership of a private insurance;
- Exemption from the CVEC fee - Student and Campus Life Contribution;
- Preferential rates for cultural activities organised by Campus France.
Eligibility requirements
- Be a national of one of the following 26 Member States of the European Union: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Portugal Sweden.
Students of French nationality, including those with dual nationality, are not eligible for the programme.
- Be at least 18 years old at the start of the mobility period in France;
There is no maximum age limit for submitting the application, as long as the candidate does not already have a master's degree (regardless of the country in which it was obtained); - Be admitted to a French higher education institution for Master 1 or Master 2 for the academic year 2025-26;
Not be the holder of a French higher education diploma or currently enrolled in a French higher education institution with the purpose of obtaining a French degree; - Not be the holder of an Erasmus+, AUF or other French ministry scholarship.
Application deadline
Hurry up, because the application must be submitted before April 30th, 2025!
Submission of applications
Applicants must send an email with the files of their application documentation to the French Embassy represented in the country of their nationality.
