TIE renewal: submitting your documents for the renewal through the "ORVE" system at the post office

If you are a UPC student with non-EU nationality, you maybe have to make the TIE renewal procedure during this summer and this news is of your interest.

Lately it is difficult to get appointments in order to submit the TIE renewal documents at the Calle Bergara Registry, in Barcelona. In the message indicating that there are no appointments, they suggest that you can alternatively submit your documents through the "ORVE" system of the Post Offices.

Those of you who want to do it through this system should know:

a)  Not all Post Offices use this "ORVE" system (if they offer you to send it in another way, for example in paper, it would take much longer, several months). The only Post Office of which we have effective evidence that it using this “ORVE” system is the Central Post Office of Barcelona, whose address is: Plaza Antonio López, s / n, 08002 Barcelona. (It is at the end of Via Laietana, in the square next to Paseo de Colón).

b) They will ask you for a reference code, which is the following:
