Cost of living and prices
International students must foresee spending at least €1.200 a month on living expenses, as detailed below.
- Rent: ca. €400-€600 (room in a shared flat)
- Note 1. the first month you must budget for this amount multiplied by 3, for the deposit.
- Note 2. Water, gas, electricity: are they included in your rent? That will depend on the arrangement with your flatmates.
- Telephone: €80
- Food: €250
- Transport: €80
- Coffees, lunches on-campus, eating out: €150
- Going out: €150
- Other: clothes, smoking, sports, entertainment, etc.

- One-litre bottle of mineral water: €1
- One-litre bottle of milk: 1
- 33cl bottle of beer: €2
- Loaf of bread: €1
- Coffee: €1.20
- Newspaper: €1.50 (in the weekends it costs 2 euros, with some weekend annexes)
- Bus or metro ticket to the city centre: €2.40
- 10-trip bus and metro travel card: € 11.35 euro (1 zone)
- Cinema ticket: €9
- Lunch menu in the city centre: €12-20
- Lunch on-campus: €8
