Cost of living and prices
International students must foresee spending at least 1.200€ a month on living expenses, as detailed below.
- Rent: ca. 450€- 650€ (room in a shared flat)
- Note 1. the first month you must budget for this amount multiplied by 3, for the deposit.
- Note 2. Water, gas, electricity: are they included in your rent? That will depend on the arrangement with your flatmates.
- Telephone: 80€
- Food: 350€
- Transport: 80€
- Coffees, lunches on-campus, eating out: 200€
- Going out: 200€
- Other: clothes, smoking, sports, entertainment, etc.

- One-litre bottle of mineral water: 1€
- One-litre bottle of milk: 1,30€
- One kilo of potatoes: 1,30€
- 33cl bottle of beer: 2€
- Loaf of bread: 1€
- Coffee: 1,20€
- Newspaper: 1,80€- 2€ (in the weekends it costs 2,20€-3,00€ euros, with some weekend annexes)
- One bus or metro ticket, to the city centre (Barcelona city): 2,40€
- 10-trip bus and metro travel card ("T-casual"): 11,35 € (1 zone)
- Cinema ticket: 9 €
- Lunch menu in the city centre: 15€ - 25€
- Lunch on-campus: 8€-11€
