Sworn translators ("traductores jurados")

For some administrative or legal procedures, you will need to translate your documents officially. This means that you cannot make the translation on your own or by any professional, but it has to be done with a sworn translation ("traducción jurada").

These translations can only be done by one of the official sworn translators, accreditated by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In the page:
www.exteriores.gob.es/es/ServiciosAlCiudadano/Paginas/Traductores-Interpretes-Jurados.aspx

please go to the link: "Buscador de traductores e intérpretes jurados" (in the middle of the page)

There you will find some drop-down menus:

- In the one to chose "país"(country), please tick "España".

- In the one to chose "provincia" (province), you can chose Barcelona, but if there are not translators in Barcelona of the language you are searching for, you can chose "todas" (all the provinces), so there they will appear all translators in Spain of said language.

- In the one to chose "idioma" (language), please select the language from which you want to do the translation to Spanish.

- Finally in the option "Tipo de título" (kind of title), please chose any of the two last options: "Traductor/a Intérprete Jurado/a" (Sworn translator or interpreter) or "Traductor/a Jurado/a" (Sworn Translator), but not the first option  because it includes only sworn interpreters (for oral translations), not sworn translators (of documents).
