UCI is a major research university offering research opportunities in a wide range of disciplines and several programs unique to the campus. Located 8 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean between Los Angeles and San Diego, the campus provides access to the high-technology industry of Southern California. The Henry Samueli School of Engineering at UCI offers Master’s and PhD programs in: Aerospace Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Materials Science. The Balsells fellowship covers all registration expenses and health insurance to pursue a Master’s or PhD degree at UCI. The program is jointly funded by the Balsells Family, the Generalitat de Catalunya, and the Henry Samueli School of Engineering at the University of California, Irvine.
