Founded by one of the creators of Twitter, Bluesky positions itself as an open and decentralised alternative. The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTech (UPC) will use this platform to share news, events, research projects, student initiatives and institutional updates related to university affairs.

The University thus enhances and diversifies its digital communication strategy, maintaining a presence across several social networks and adding a new channel to communicate university activities. The goal is to promote the UPC’s values and knowledge, and foster community on this new platform by creating and energising a space for engagement and exchange of ideas.

Through this new channel, the University will introduce the latest developments in research and innovation driven by UPC researchers and innovative initiatives undertaken by UPC students. It will also feature the UPC’s areas of expertise and updates closely tied to university teaching. Last but not least, it will include institutional events and activities taking place across the University’s campuses.

The UPC community and the public can now follow and interact with the University’s official Bluesky profile to stay up to date with all the latest developments: https://bsky.app/profile/upc.edu.
