The UPC showcases its technological potential at MWC Barcelona, 4YFN and Talent Arena

Once again, the UPC will take part in MWC Barcelona and Four Years From Now (4YFN), running from 2 to 5 March at Fira de Barcelona in Montjuïc. For the first time, it will also be present at Talent Arena, held from 2 to 3 March at the Gran Via venue. All three events are leading international platforms for connectivity, entrepreneurship and digital talent.

MWC Barcelona

At MWC Barcelona 2026 the University’s Innovation and Technology Centre (CIT UPC) will present its technological capabilities and several advanced solutions developed by research teams in health, communications and computing. Among the projects on display will be technology to optimise hospital resources, a system to improve breast cancer diagnosis, a platform for strategic data management and a mobile app for wildfire prevention..

4YFN

Around 40 UPC spin-offs and start-ups will showcase their technologies at 4YFN, with solutions ranging from a prosthetics device to a drone flight management system, an online invoicing tool, a healthcare platform, and biomaterials and cold plasma technology for cancer treatments. The UPC will also host its own pitching session once again, this year supported by the Fractus-UPC Deep Tech Hub, and will sponsor the Universities & Spinoffs track, as part of the Barcelona Knowledge Alliance (BKA).

Talent Arena

For the first time, the talent developed at the UPC, together with its bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral and continuing education degrees, will be presented at Talent Arena. The UPC stand at this event, which is a major European meeting point for digital talent and the tech industry, will be complemented by two roundtables addressing business needs, digital talent and the bridges between universities and businesses for knowledge transfer in AI. Admission is free with prior registration.
