UPCommons remains among the world’s top 20 in the Transparent Ranking of repositories

The UPC’s open document repository, UPCommons, is ranked the world’s 20th in the latest edition of the Transparent Ranking of repositories. In the ranking of institutional repositories, UPCommons climbs to the 10th place worldwide and is once again the leader in Spain.

In the latest edition of the ranking published by the Cybermetrics Lab of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), UPCommons, the open document repository of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya · BarcelonaTech (UPC), remains the world’s 20th, with 83,200 records indexed, and the 7th in Europe, which is one place higher than in the last edition.

In the ranking of institutional repositories, UPCommons climbs to the 10th place worldwide and the 4th place in Europe. It is once again the leader in Spain in both classifications.

Finally, in the ranking of Spanish repositories and journal portals, UPCommons continues to be ranked 3rd, behind DIALNET and the RACO (Catalan Open Access Journals).

The Transparent Ranking of repositories ranks open document repositories according to the number of items from each repository that appear on Google Scholar (excluding citations and patents). The latest edition of the Transparent Ranking has been published using the data obtained during the second week of August.
