The rector of the UPC, Francesc Torres, has published the UPC’s protocol of action against coronavirus (COVID-19) on 9 March. The document will be kept under permanent review based on the evolution of the outbreak, the latest information on the disease and health authorities’ advice.

The protocol specifies the general lines of action and those academic and extra-curricular activities that are temporarily suspended at the UPC due to the outbreak. The document provides travel advice for the university community members and describes how to act if a COVID-19 case is confirmed at the University.

The document also explains how to act in the hypothetical scenario of extraordinary measures, such as closing buildings, although this is not being considered at the moment.
