Communication, of 13 october, on the instructions of CatSalut
Given the latest instructions of the Interuniversity Council of Catalonia and the Ministry of Health as regards taking temporary measures on university campuses to contain the rate of coronavirus infections, the UPC informs of new measures of 13 october.
Oct 13, 2020
The UPC informs of the following measures:
- From 13 October and during the entire week, UPC schools will manage the implementation of strict limitations on face-to-face teaching lasting two weeks. These limitations are expected to end on 31 October.
- As a general rule, this restriction on face-to-face activities will not affect research and practical activities. The mid-semester exams set in the academic calendar must be organised as on-site exams.
- The measures agreed are not a consequence of a lack of safety in our classrooms; they respond to the need to limit to the greatest extent possible the mobility of university students. We wish to thank the entire community for their efforts in flexibly adapting to the changes that the pandemic involves.
The UPC will continue to keep you informed on the website and the usual communication channels.
The rector, Francesc Torres
