The UPC among the best Spanish universities in Engineering according to the Ranking CYD
The UPC is the top university in Spain in Informatics, Civil and Mechanical Engineering, and it is ranked as one of the three best Spanish universities in Electrical, Chemical and Materials Engineering according to the Ranking CYD, which also highlights knowledge transfer results in five engineering areas.

The Ranking CYD analyses a range of indicators for institutions and areas of knowledge. It is therefore possible to compare universities based on the following dimensions: teaching and learning, research, knowledge transfer, international orientation and regional development.
Based on the indicators and the results obtained in 2019—when the data for Engineering were last updated—the publishers of the ranking have just published an article that highlights that the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya · BarcelonaTech (UPC) is ranked among the top three Spanish universities in six of the seven engineering areas included in the Ranking CYD: it is the best in Informatics, Civil and Mechanical Engineering and it is ranked as one of the three best in Electrical, Chemical and Materials Engineering.

The ranking also highlights the position of the University in knowledge transfer in five engineering areas. Here the UPC is the leader in Spain in Informatics, Civil and Electrical Engineering and it is among the top three in Industrial and Materials Engineering.
